I want to introduce you to Grace Carter Shoe Covers. They are these great shoe covers that just slip over your womens shoes to protect them from rain or snow or I suppose even mud. These are exclusively available at Nordstrom’s or on line at gracecarter. I was wondering how I was going to test them with no snow in sight and then along came a shower a few days later.
When I first saw the classic ballet flat shoe cover I thought they would never go over the orthopedic slip ons that I wear. Surprise, surprise, they not only slipped on easily but looked really terrific. A very smart, classic look—almost like a boot. I went out into the rain and was very pleased with the surety of step that I felt. We don’t have snow right now but I feel confident I would feel sure footed and safe on ice or snow. I love shoes but hate to go out in the elements and ruin a pair of shoes for which I have paid a dear price. What a wonderful discovery for me and every woman.
These shoe covers are extremely well made of a stretchy waterproof fabric. The soles have rubber grommets and will not slide. The zippers are covered in leather and will not catch your stocking or sock. The tops are also trimmed with a nice leather strip. They come in the Classic Ballet Flat that I tested, a High Heel Pointy Toe and High Heel Round Toe. The high heels have a thimble to protect your heel. They look like boots for women< and are so pretty and very nice quality! As with a nice raincoat or umbrella, they have to be dried out before storing in the convenient carrying pouch included with your purchase.
