Adorable Sillo-ettes™ Wristlets by the Douglas Company
Today I would like to introduce you to the family-owned business called the “Douglas Company” who has been in business since 1956. This wonderful company makes a variety of “plush” cuddle toys and now the Douglas Company introduced a new product to their lineup which is a wristlet in fun animal shapes which is officially called a Sillo-ettes™.
Sillo-ettes™ are the silhouette of an animal shape fashioned into a wristlet purse that swings from the wrist or readily clips on to a larger bag. Each bag is corded on the edges to outline and define the animals shape. They’re everything you could want in one small handheld bag whether you carry it on your wrist, hold it in your hand or attach it to a larger bag. Douglas Sillo-ettes™ will have onlookers talking about their whimsical style and bright colored quilted fabric styles everywhere you go, so be prepared to draw attention. They were first introduced in 2010 and have been a huge hit ever since.
The Sillo-ettes™ currently come in several different designs: Flicker Bird, Owl Blossom, Peace Dog, Bubbles Fish, Shelly Turtle, Pink Filly, Flutter Butterfly, Dreamy Caravan Elephant as well as several other animal designs. Douglas products are sold at specialty gift and toy stores in the USA, Canada and Europe. Just recently the Douglas Company acquired the license for Clifford the Big Red Dog and for Tatty Teddy so the company is growing and adding new products to their line.
My Review: The generous folks over at the Douglas Company sent me their Owl Blossom Sillo-ettes™ Wristlet to review for all of you. I absolutely love owls and have collected owls since I was a child so I was super excited to receive this item for the review. This product is made for ages 3 and up but…even adults like me will love these wristlets! The owl wristlet measures 6″ tall which is the perfect size for me to carry my digital camera in it or even my cell phone! The fabrics used in this wristlet are quilted and I love the bright pink, purple and lime green colors used in the fabrics. The owl has 2 round black beads for his/her eyes and he/she is absolutely adorable! The carrying strap unclips so you can hook this to your belt loops or hook it inside a diaper bag or purse. Of course…you can always use it as a wristlet too!
The top of the wristlet has a nice easy to use heavy-duty zipper so you can get in/out of it quickly. The inside is entirely lined so whatever you choose to carry inside it will be protected. I have mine right now clipped inside my large handbag and it holds my cell phone when I go out. However… when I go traveling I am going to use it to hold my digital camera as I am always looking for a small bag to put that in and this wristlet is perfect for that! I am in LOVE with my new owl wristlet!
