My Review:
I was sent some awesome steaks to review for you today. We got the Beef Tenderloin Filet Stuffed with Deluxe Mushrooms and Bacon and I am so excited to tell you about them!
The filets come from The Tender Filet completely frozen. Packed 2 steaks in a pack, 2 packs in a box for 4 total. They are delivered in a Styrofoam box with dry ice. The ice was still over half full and could be still frozen for a day or two more. That is nice! The packs are 2 filets are 6oz each which is just right for us. I thawed in fridge overnight in fridge and the Tenderloins were thawed completely
by morning.
The tenderloin are about 1 1/2″ thick and look great. I decided to grill them so they were on the grill about 8 minutes and were cooked to medium with a little pink inside. Perfect! The meat tasted fabulous and was very tender and flavorful! The stuffing of mushrooms and bacon was not too much, but just enough to bring additional burst of flavor to the meat. Hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed these filet mignons. We feel that they were one of the best tenderloins we had at our home in a very long time. These are so delicious!!
Along with the tenderloins they sent a Guide to great cooking booklet with the different items that they sell along with some great looking recipes, cooking times and nutrition facts.
