I have somewhat of a sweet tooth, I must admit. I love cookies, candy and sugary goodness now and then… but not too sweet. I do draw the line. LOL
I was sent a box of the Holiday cookies from Smiley Cookies to sample for you. It contained six fresh Christmas Tree Smiley sugar cookies and six Gingerbread Smileys! They came packed really well in a nice sturdy cute box and inside a plastic container that protected the cookies from breakage.
The cookies are large and nicely presented. The Christmas Tree Cookies were very nicely iced and decorated and that is the one I chose to eat first. The flavor was good and it is pretty moist. It is kind of a crumbly cookie, but not in a dry way. My hubby and son sampled some of these too and they liked them.
The Gingerbread Smiley cookies are cutely decorated and about 4″ round. I did not care for this flavor of this cookie particularly. My mom used to make ginger cookies every year I am very partial to her German recipe, so I guess I am really picky about it. My son and his friends thought they were good, so they had no problem eating them.
The Smiley Cookie folks have several types of cookie combo’s available for a nice Holiday cookie gift idea for someone with a sweet tooth! Especially for someone who just has everything. I think that Christmas cookie gift packages would go well for students at school, teachers, or fellow workers. It may be the perfect Gourmet Christmas gift for you and your family.
