Gifting With Consciousness by SLOWCOLOR Linen Scarf

Fashion accessories are such a great thing to have in multiples. I love scarves and jewelry and hats and all kinds of fun things like that. Because they come in so many different colors and styles, you can never have too many!

There is a company that produces elegant handloomed, naturally plant dyed, fair trade made scarves in colors to suite both him and her. A gift to feel truly grateful for, and globally connected to the good of giving. SLOWCOLOR is a company that promotes gifting with consciousness as all of their products are handcrafted by handloom weavers in India who earn a fair wage for their craft. Fair Trade accessories created with beautiful linen that is naturally dyed and comes in an amazing array of colors. SLOWCOLOR is a GREEN AMERICA approved business

I was send a fabulous scarf in a magnificent gold color that is just amazing. The linen is pure and very finely made. The size is a perfect 24″x72″. I love the wide width as you can use this is so many different ways. You can fold it in half or thirds and use is as a scarf. You can pin it, wrap it, tie it or even cover your hair with it. It is a fabulous size. I love it!

Linen is a lightweight beautiful fabric that is breathable so you will never get too hot wearing it. It can go from summer to winter and the colors that these scarves are dyed are beautiful, soft colors that will go with any of your favorites easily. After the linen is woven on the handlooms, it may take days or even weeks to dye a garment with natural dye, as opposed to a quick chemical bath. The final result is a beautiful, non-toxic garment produced with respect for the Earth, those who produced it and those who wear it. The colors are such that most of them work well for guys as well as gals. That is a great feat.

SLOWCOLOR is committed to preserving the fine art of hand weaving which is on the brink of extinction due to the fast paced world. Providing an outlet for selling the products to the world bring attention and wages back into the artisans who hand create these pieces from ancient methods passed down through generations. You can help keep it alive by purchasing your gifts this holiday from fair trade sites such as this one.
