My business has grown greatly over the past year, so much so that sometimes I find myself at the very last minute running to the store to try and figure out what I am going to feed my family that night. This book starts with planning and tips on freezing foods properly; what foods freeze well and what foods don’t. The Author also talks about how to properly freeze foods and tips on what to do for power outages. Yikes! She also goes into information you about your freezer and how to package your foods to get the best results.
The author then goes into how to prep and shop for a large cooking session where you can cook and freeze meals for up to 30 meals at a time. Is that not a dream come true? You can choose to do a few a day and work up to a weeks worth and then move into the bigger cooking sessions.
The book is full of tips and tricks to quickly become a master at freezing foods in quantity, easily, without stress which is exactly what I need! The Complete Idiots Guide to Freezer Meals is also loaded with tons of great recipes that you can use to get your freezer load. The recipes cover the whole realm of food groups, meals, appetizers, desserts, breads and more.
In the back are some great tools that you can use for menu planning and shopping so you are on track with purchasing the right amounts and being prepared to cook in quantity.
I really am enjoying this book and hubby is looking at recipes that he can do too! wow! I haven’t gotten to the freezing part yet, but I am planning on working towards that in the next few weeks. I need to get prepped and ready to do a few sessions. I think that this book could help me and my family immensely and I cannot wait to get cooking! And that is odd for me to say! LOL
I really love the format of the Idiot’s Guides! They make me feel, well… smart. HAHA Keep them coming!
