Social Media and Bartering – An Interesting Concept

I was looking around for a way to sell some stuff that I have here and don’t use that is effectively taking up a great deal of my office space. I figured that I could sell this stuff I have and then buy the items that I want to give as gifts. That way I have gotten rid of the clutter taking up valuable real estate in my office and have some happy folks with items that they love to enjoy.

What I didn’t realize is that there is a way to join a social media based site and barter with other members to get the goods that I want. You don’t have to deal with strangers as you are linking to people you are friending right there on the site. It could be your relatives or anyone you know.

I have done a lot of bartering in the past and it has always seemed to work out for the most part but they were through forums and on a personal level. Having barter websites available that also are a social media outlet seems like a great solution. The one I found is called Tradze and you don’t use money at all. You earn credits that you use to buy things from other members. It is a pretty cool concept. It is an easy way to buy and sell the items that you want. I am going to check it out and barter some of my items for ones I want.
