I introduced you to the wonderful folks at Original Juan Specialty Foods with their great Salsa and Relish review and giveaway the other day. You can read about it and enter the giveaway currently going on at the link above.
Today I want to talk to you about some of their other products I was thrilled to be a able to sample. I received two of their fabulous Barbeque sauces. Bottled under the name American Stockyard, I was sent the Harvest Apple BBQ Sauce and the other is the Smoky Sweet BBQ Sauce.
The first night I enjoyed the Smoky Sweet as a dipping sauce with my burger and it is delicious! I love smoky sweet BBQ sauce and this is smooth and not too sweet. It has a lovely smoke to it, but not overly heavy which is just the way I like it. It also has a bit of kick to it but not too much. This is a prefect sauce for just about anything you want to do!
Several nights later, I used the Harvest Apple BBQ Sauce when I slow cooked some country style pork ribs. Oh my goodness! It was delicious! Very mellow all the way around, this sauce was more than I thought. It is sweet in some ways but it is offset by the apple flavor. It was great. I will definitely use this again with the pork. Great flavor.
I also got a bottle of their Fiesta Juan’s Raspberry Jalapeno Marinade and Dipping Sauce. This is a wonderful blend of sweet and hot with the flavor from the raspberry coming in and the bit of heat from the peppers. I used this as a spread last week by pouring a bit over cream cheese and it was great! The cheese mellowed it out for my hubby who does not like spicy food and the flavor was enhanced by the raspberry and cream cheese. We spread it on crackers and it was a perfect game day appetizer! My mother in law loved it! There are many uses for this awesome sauce.
The last thing I want to tell you about is an amazing concoction called Cheesecake in a Jar. And as you can tell by the name, this is going to be good! All I can say for one cheesecake lover to any other.. YUMMM. This is a cool product that you can literally eat out of the jar as a delightful treat. But you can also use it on fruit, over ice cream or how about on cake or as a sandwich. I think pretty much anything would be awesome with this on it. LOL
I did behave myself a bit and enjoyed it with some sliced apple and then I ate the rest with a spoon… not all at once though. It is rich and smooth and oh so good! You got to grab one to try! PS… They have Chocolate kind too!
Overall I am so impressed with everything that the folks at Original Juan Specialty Foods has produced for me to sample. I have tried things that I normally would not have eaten and I have loved them all! Hats off to everyone at Original Juan’s. You guys Rock!
