Ferrarelle Naturally Sparkling Mineral Water

I am a big water drinker. Several years ago after seeing the effects of chemical additives into my beloved Diet Coke, I quit drinking soda, Cold Turkey. Now I was a Diet Coke-a-holic having cut my teeth on my first Beloved, TAB, before they did the most horrible thing in the world and changed the formula. I eventually forgave them and became a Diet Coke drinker…. Until D Day.

Since then, I became a Water-a-holic! I love sparkling mineral water and have enjoyed them greatly even before I went Cold Turkey. I have enjoyed mineral water from several different sources and they have been pleasant, that is, until I tried my new favorite Water, Ferrarelle.

Ferrarelle is Italy’s No.1 naturally sparkling mineral water. By a fluke of geology, Ferrarelle comes out of it’s source in the extinct Roccamonfina volcano in the Campania region already sparkling. The natural bubbles produce fine bubbly, similar to the texture of champagne.

I have always thought mineral water is mineral water, but after tasting this product, I know that is so not true! What I learned is that most other brands of sparkling waters come out of the ground still (or flat) and are then artificially carbonated like soda. This makes their carbonation very strong and harsh while Ferrarelle has smaller bubbles and a much softer texture.

I have had sparkling water that was just that.. water shot full of carbonation and it tasted like carbonated water with some flavor added in. yuck. Also many times the bottle had so much carbonation the bubbles went up my nose and took over. I do not care for that at all.

The Ferrarelle Sparkling Mineral Water is smooth, extremely mild in taste and extremely refreshing. It would make a wonderful water to serve at a nice dinner party or to use in your mixed drinks or punches for a bit of bubbly. Because it is naturally effervescent, you are not barraged with an overabundance of created bubbles and sparkle.

I am definitely going to hunt this down in my home town and buy several bottles to keep on hand for holiday meals and guests and for my own personal enjoyment. I have found a new love and I am happy!
