I for one am happy they figured it out. I have a thin upper lip but it doesn’t bother me enough to take physical action to alter it. It’s not “that” thin. Sure botox might be cool to try and see the difference for the fun of it, but I absolutely hate needles. No way I’ll elect to get an injection for cosmetic reasons. But no reason to now.
I admit I was plenty skeptical. My daughter and her friend have tried a couple of cheap products and didn’t have any change at all. But, the saying “you get what you pay for” really does mean something when it comes to quality products.
I was sent the City Lips Advanced Formula Lip Plumper in clear and minis of NUDE York and SUN Diego to review. After the family left in the morning I decided to give it a try. It’s quite sticky which is something I’m not a big fan of, but it’s worth the stickiness for the outcome.
It really does work and quite quickly too. I can feel a tingling within 30 seconds and notice a difference in under 2 minutes. Now just so you know, it’s a decent tingle. Not painful, but you really know it’s there and working. It’s not a huge swollen difference, but a nice enhancement.
My biggest problem? Which color of the lip plumper to choose in the morning. I love both the colors sent and the clear looks great too. While the clear has no tint to it I find that my lips get a little darker naturally while it’s working. Which is perfect because you can’t get any more perfect tone for your natural coloring than that!
I have noticed recently that I am getting some of those yucky wrinkles around my lips. With continued use it is helping to fill those lines. I love that.
My only issue is the stickiness like I mentioned above, but the outcome far outweighs that issue in my book. I just work hard at not putting it on and then taking a drink from someones cup or can and sharing my lip gloss with them. lol I recommend purchasing this product if you are looking for a non-invasive way to plump up that pout and fill in some lines. You won’t be disappointed.
