Today I would like to introduce you to a line of children’s books called AdoraPet and these wonderful little books are just perfect for toddler’s like my grand-wee-one Gia. There are several different titles to choose from and this company won the 2011 Book of the Year Award from Creative Child Magazine in the Best Picture Book Series! Wow and congratulations to the great folks over at AdoraPet!
My Review: The generous folks over at AdoraPet sent me 2 of their hardcover children’s books to check out for all of you. First up is the AdoraPet’s Ballerina Pima Puppy Book which sells for $5.95. This book is geared towards kids ages 2-6 years of age and the book has 36 pages. I love the 4 1/2″ by 4 1/2″ size of these books because they are easy for me to tote around in my bag, car, diaper bag, etc. Each book has a To and From section inside the front cover and then there is a “Note From The Author” YiShaun Yang which I love that…gives the book a nice personal touch by the author. The story is about Ballerina Pima Puppy and her female friend heading to their dance recital and performing in it.The story is VERY easy to read and even my 2 1/2 year old understood it and enjoyed it. In the back of the book it teaches little girls 5 basic ballet positions and 4 basic ballet moves. That is a fantastic touch to this book since all little girls like to dance and pretend that they are ballerinas!
The second book that I received is the AdoraPet’s Pima Puppy’s Mermaid Adventure Book which is also 4 1/2″ by 4 1/2″ in size and sells for $5.95. Just like the first book there is a To and From section inside the cover and a personal Note From The Author, YiShaun Yang which again…beautiful touch! In this story Pima Puppy goes on an underwater adventure and meets a few mermaid friends! This story teaches your children that it is okay to be different & unique which is an important lesson that we must teach all of our children. The grand-wee-one was really fascinated with this book since she loves mermaids! She totally understood the story and we loved the bright colorful graphics and the story is very easy to read.
Overall Impression: We love the AdoraPet’s Children’s Books! These books are really easy to read and they have simple storylines that small children can grasp and understand. It is often times hard to find good books that are geared towards toddlers and these books are perfect for the toddler age group! We will treasure these books and since receiving the grand-wee-one loves for me to read them to her every time she visits my home. We give the books 10 stars out of 10 stars.
