NeoCell Super Collagen Powder
The more I sit at my desk working, the faster I am aging, I think. But I am fighting it more and more too. LOL I have been reading up on the nutrient supplements that I am low on and I have made an effort to start supplementing on a regular basis to help combat the aging process and the mid life spread.
One of the items I read about was Collagen. This is a fiber that is very important for your body but yet it breaks down in your body as we age. I asked to review the Super Collagen as it sounded like it would help with all of the things that are happening to my body. Here is some additional info from their site:
The word “collagen” is derived from the word kolla, the Greek word for glue. The collagen peptides type 1 & 3 in Super Collagen™ support collagen in tendons, ligaments, hair, skin, nails, and lean muscle. These two types of collagen are the main types found in connective tissue making up 90% of the body’s total collagen content. Super Collagen™ is rich in hydroxyproline and hydroxylysine, which are two key amino acids specific only to collagen and especially important to collagen production.
I received the container of the Super Collagen Powder 7 oz. powder. This is a small looking container but when you open it you realize that this powder is super fine. As per the instructions, it is best taken with Vitamin C so I have been mixing it in with my juice in the mornings.
Now I know what you are thinking.. OH that fiber stuff is all goopy and nasty. Actually because this is so fine, it mixes very well. I take the scoop and add it to a small amount of juice first to make a thick liquid and then I add the rest of the juice. You cannot taste the fiber at all. You can use an immersion blender if you want to.
Now this container says that you will notice results in about 3 weeks or so. I have been taking this for a week so far. Nothing drastic has happened and I don’t mind taking it, which is a plus for me. I am going to continue to take it as I know I need the fiber, I really like how well it mixes and I know its good for me and will help me in the long run.
