My Review: The generous folks over at NaturOli sent me two 16 oz. bottles of their soap nut shampoo to try out for all of you. I received the NaturOli Extreme Soap Nut Shampoo for normal to dry hair and the NaturOli Extreme Soap Nut Shampoo for normal to oily hair. For this review I enlisted the help of my mother who suffers from time to time with oily hair so I gave the normal to oily hair shampoo to her to use for our review. I am reviewing the normal to dry hair soap nut shampoo.
The Extreme Soap Nut Shampoo for Normal to Oily Hair is sulfate free, contains no parabens, no propylene, no glycols, no petroleum, no alcohol nor any sulfates. The shampoo balances secretion by the oil glands in the scale while removing excess oil and dirt from hair. It is a natural formulation of pure soap nut extract and rich in botanicals. Cleanses without damaging your hair, your health or our environment. If you are a first-time user you will need to use the product several times over the course of a week to detox your hair of chemical residues found in traditional shampoos. To use the product you wet your head and massage a little bit onto your scalp and then rinse. Then massage a little bit onto your hair and rinse again. Simple & Effective! My mom has been using her new shampoo every day for almost a week. She told me the following: “I really like that this shampoo doesn’t smell like perfume or flowers…just a clean, natural scent to it. It works up into a little bit of a lather and goes quickly onto your scalp & hair. I found that it rinses out quickly, leaving behind no greasy, oily or sticky residue. I had no irritation to my scalp while using the product and I have noticed that my hair looks less oily every time I use this shampoo. I would recommend this product to others.”
I have been using the Extreme Soap Nut Shampoo for Normal to Dry Hair. I do a lot of swimming so my hair and scalp can get pretty dry thanks to pool chemicals. This is a powerful, natural shampoo that is also gentle and effective. This shampoo contains no parbens, no glycols, no alcohol or any other nasty chemical stuff. You use the shampoo just as I described above for my mother’s review. Here are my thoughts: “I have been using this shampoo for almost a week. I have been using it at least once a day and on two days, twice a day due to me going out and swimming. I agree with my mother…nice clean natural scent! I found that it produced a good lather but not a mountain of lather like traditional shampoos and frankly…I liked that because I didn’t have to spend 5 minutes rinsing out suds from my hair. Since I have very short hair, I only needed a pea sized drop each time I washed my hair so this bottle is going to last me a long time as a little tiny bit goes a long way. My hair after a week of using the shampoo definitely feels more moisturized and less brittle. I also noticed that it looks “brighter” and shinier! I love the shampoo and would highly recommend it to others.
We give the shampoos a 9 1/2 stars out of 10 stars. We only deducted a 1/2 star because we would love to see the shampoos in pump style bottles.
