I just found out late yesterday that I am going to be an aunt again and you know what that means? I need to get busy buying some newborn baby hats and toddler hats for the new addition coming into our already large family!
That’s right folks…my 22 year old niece is pregnant with her first child and is due around May 30th, 2012. However, her doctor will adjust that date after she gets an official ultrasound next week! Yeah! We are really excited for the happy couple and can’t wait to see if it’s going to be a boy or a girl!
I started a tradition about 15 years ago by always purchasing at least a newborn hat and a toddler hat for the new baby. I then pick up swaddler’s, blankets and a few outfits to go along with those hats so now all the girls in our family expect those particular items from me during their baby showers!
I know the soon-to-be first time parents are going to have a happy baby because they are a super happy and in-love couple! I am looking forward to helping my sister-in-law plan a very nice baby shower for my niece and trust me…this family party’s BIG so it should be a blast!
That now makes 2 female family members due around the same time, both of these particular nieces are due just 3 1/2 weeks a part! Wouldn’t that be something if they both went into labor and had babies the same day? Wowza!
