Cozy Baby Deedee Sleep Nest

October 11, 2011 by Classystaff

I would like to introduce you to Baby Deedee, which was founded by Mom of 2, Dominique de Bourgknecht. When she became a Mom, she envisioned a sleep sack in a cocoon-like shape, with a soft cotton exterior and filled with light, breathable, plush duvet quilting. Something to help her baby be cozy at bedtime. When she couldn’t find something that matched her vision, she designed her own, and thus the Baby Deedee Sleep Nest was born.

Sleep Nest Lite by BabyDeedee.comMy Review: Today I am offering my review of the Baby Deedee Sleep Nest Lite to all of you. I was given my choice of Sleep Nests to review, and chose the Print & Lime – Sleep Nest Lite. (pictured to the left). My great nephew is a couple weeks old, and I was looking forward to getting his review. He’s too small, but I did get his, and another Mom’ opinions to add to my review.

We were immediately drawn to the design of the Baby Deedee Sleep Nest. With a reverse zipper (zips from chest, down to feet), my Niece can see how easy those middle of the night diapers changes will be. Oh, and this pattern has a glow-in-the-dark zipper as well! There are snaps at the shoulders making it less cumbersome to slip even a sleeping baby into it, and then quickly zip, snap and secure him in.

I love how the Sleep Nest, is closed at the bottom, so it is like a wearable sleeveless sleeping bag. My friend and I have older children, and both wish we had had something like the Sleep Nest when our kids were babies. It moves with baby, so he stays covered no matter how much turning over he does. With all of the concern over SIDS, it eliminates the need for blankets that could come loose.

The Baby Dee Sleep Nest comes in it’s original lightly quilted form, or the Sleep Nest Lite, which is made from a double layer of jersey cotton. Both are intended to be worn in the crib, over regular sleepwear. The quilted Sleep Nest has a recommended room temperature is 67-74°F, while the Sleep Nest Lite is for use in a warmer room temperature of 70-80°F. Sleeve length and thickness of baby’s sleepwear should be adjusted accordingly, with either.

You can purchase either the Baby Deedee Sleep Nest, or Sleep Nest Lite from BabyDeedee.com. They retail for $33.00-$48.00 depending on the Sleep Nest version and size. They would make an incredible baby shower, or new baby gift, or any age, up to 36 months! That’s a nice size and age range too.

Thank you to Baby Deedee for sending me their Sleep Nest Lite to review for all of you!
