For the past few months I have been telling all of our blog readers about the new home we purchased back in the spring of 2010 and how we have been fixing up the place and remodeling it.
Well…for the past month we have gotten hit by a lot of storms like Hurricane Irene, Tropical Storm Lee, an Earthquake and several nasty thunderstorms. With all of that said…we have experienced a lot of storm damage and flooding thanks to all of these storms hitting south central PA.
Now that our backyard is a royal mess we decided to take the time to “spruce” it up and fix it up the way we want it to be come next spring. Over the weekend I went out and was looking at a new garden trellis for the front yard done in wrought iron and then I spotted a vinyl trellis that was equally as beautiful. Wow…I never realized all of the options you could get in trellises these days!
After spending some time at the garden center I finally settled on a white wooden arbor and a metal garden trellis for our backyard. I am really looking forward to hubby installing them this weekend so I can see how pretty they will look in our backyard.
While I was at the garden center I also picked up 5 flats of fall flowers to plant around the yard so that we can have a little color this fall season. Right now is the perfect time to purchase your garden supplies as well as fall mums are in season right now too!
What kind of things do all of you decorate your backyard with? I think my next purchase will be a new solar bird bath if I can find one at an affordable price.
