My Review: The generous folks over at Learning Resources sent me their Peek-A-Boo Color Muffins play set to review for all of you. This play set is made for children ages 2 and up and helps with color recognition, matching, counting, sorting and with fine motor skills. The set includes a rotating muffin stand along with 5 durable 3-piece muffins and comes nicely packaged in a box so it is ready for gift giving.
My grand-wee-one is 28 months old and loves to play in her little play-kitchen so we were really excited to review this item for all of you. When it comes to me providing toys to the wee-one I prefer to give her educational toys that help her learn new things and that help her to prepare for preschool. I removed everything from the box and gave it a good “grandma inspection” and was really impressed with the high-quality materials that every item is made from. Good durable plastic that you can wipe down to keep them clean when they get dirty and I like that because kids always bring germs into the home so it’s nice to be able to clean their toys quickly & easily. There are 5 different muffins with colored muffin cup bottoms and all of the tops are tan colored muffins. The tops remove from the bottom muffin cup and your child can place one of the plastic fruit pieces inside the muffin cup. There is an apple slice, blueberries, cherries, orange slice and lemon slice. Your child can match the red apple slice with the red muffin cup bottom to make an apple muffin and so forth. All of the muffins then fit into the rotating muffin holder which is really cool. The grand-wee-one loves this set and on day one she played with it for over 2 hours making nanny & pappy various muffins to have as snacks LOL As she was playing with it…we could hear her naming colors and counting the pieces and I love that!!!
Overall Impression: This is an extremely well-made educational toy that all little preschool girls should have! (boys can play with it too!). This toy will last for years and provide countless hours of good educational fun with your little ones. This item would make a great Birthday Gift, Holiday Gift or any time of the year gift!
