Getting Prepared for Winter Weather

The past few days hubby and I have been sitting around making a list of everything we need to do to get prepared for the Winter season. Here in the North East we get hammered with cold temperatures, ice storms, blizzards, snow storms and so forth so we always start getting prepared as soon as Labor Day is over with.

We have a lot of items on our property that will need to be protected and secured during the winter months so I need to go out and purchase a few tarps, including a truck tarp.  I really dread the winter season and all that winter brings with it…I am just not much of a cold winter weather type of girl.

I need to get the family together within the next 2 weeks and get the property cleaned up and secured. A few days ago I did get out to purchase a few canvas tarps so that I could use those to protect our canopy swings and storage shed.

Do you all get prepared for winter ahead of time? What do you do to get your property and belongings prepared?
