Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Educational Insights based out of Southern California. Educational Insights is the manufacturer of playful products with serious educational value, including subject-specific classroom products, teacher resources, educational toys, and games. Their products are designed by seasoned educators & parents who know that children love to learn when you make that learning experience fun!
When you visit the Educational Insights online web site you will find that it’s really easy to navigate. The web site has three tabbed categories which are the sections for Parents, Teachers and Classroom Jeopardy. Since I am a mother and grandmother…I could spend hours just browsing around their parent’s section of the web site.
My Review: Today I am reviewing the fantastic Inside Out Lenticular Human Body Poster for all of you from Educational Insights. For those of you who don’t know, I actually worked several years at a local hospital in the nursing field so I have always had a strong interest in science and health. This poster measures 19″ wide by 27″ high and has four shifting images of different human body systems. It is a magical way to explore the skeleton, muscles, and organs, and help kids understand the inner workings of their own bodies. This is a really cool item!!!
My nephew C who is 14 has a strong interest in science…matter of fact…he wants to be a medical doctor so we often refer to him as our “science nerd” which is a title he proudly wears. I had C come over to see this Human Body Poster and boy oh boy…he was super excited when he saw it. If you stand straight in front of the poster you will see 2 kids full clothed standing on a basketball court talking to one another. If you move a little to the side you will see the kid’s inner muscular system, move to the side just a hair more and you will see it transform again to showing all of the human body’s inner organs…then move just a hair more and you will see the skeletal system. My 14 year old nephew just couldn’t get over how cool this poster was! For the next 30 minutes or so, he pointed out to my husband and I the names of various body parts! He is one smart cookie!
When it came time for him to go home, I couldn’t let him leave without his new Human Body Poster! The following day my brother called me up to tell me that he had to hang the poster up in C’s room at 9pm at night LOL and since then…he has been looking up body parts in his science reference book so that he can spot them on the chart. I did tell ya…he is a smart cookie! We give this item a huge and I mean HUGE 2 thumbs up!!! I can see this Human Body Poster being hung in older kid’s bedrooms, home schooling rooms, public & private schools and even hung in doctor’s offices. It is really a cool poster!
