Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Educational Insights based out of Southern California. Educational Insights is the manufacturer of playful products with serious educational value, including subject-specific classroom products, teacher resources, educational toys, and games. Their products are designed by seasoned educators & parents who know that children love to learn when you make that learning experience fun!
When you visit the Educational Insights online web site you will find that it’s really easy to navigate. The web site has three tabbed categories which are the sections for Parents, Teachers and Classroom Jeopardy. Since I am a mother and grandmother…I could spend hours just browsing around their parent’s section of the web site.
My Review: As you all know…I absolutely love the Educational Insights products and today I am reviewing their GeoSafari Tuff Cam for all of you. This Tuff Cam is great for indoor use and because it has a super tough rubber casing, it is absolutely fabulous for outdoor use! It is really easy to use…simply turn it on, point it at what you want to video tape and press the trigger to record. It has a large 2″ viewing screen with 12 megapixel resolution. It comes nicely packaged in gift box so it is ready for gift giving.

When it comes to making videos and uploading them online that is usually my husbands job…until now! I unpacked the Tuff Cam from the box and read the instructions. I plugged it into our laptop so that the battery could fully charge. Once it was ready I had my hubby video tape me demonstrating the Educational Insights Hot Dots Jr. product. Once we were done, I simply plugged the Tuff Cam into our laptop via the USB cable and uploaded my new video to YouTube. I then got the embed code and put it in this blog post. The entire process was super quick and easy! yeah!!!!
As you can see…the video that the Tuff Cam makes is nice and clear and you can clearly hear me speaking on the video. There is no fuzziness at all. I love that I can erase previous videos and make new ones with the click of a button! I also appreciate the built-in flash which enables me to take videos indoors of the kids when they are playing.
