Today I would like to introduce you to the snack food company known as Mediterranean Snacks which has been in business since 2005. The company produces a variety of nutritious snacks that your entire family can enjoy. They use only the highest quality, gluten-free ingredients so if you are gluten intolerant you will love these snacks! You will find delicious tasting baked lentil chips, oven baked lentil crackers as well as a variety of other snack foods.
My Review: The great folks over at Mediterranean Snacks sent me 3 products to try out for all of you. First up is the Baked Chips in the Original Multi Grain flavor. This all-natural snack is made from high protein garbanzo & adzuki beans. They are a good source of fiber, no trans fat and have 70% less fat than regular potato chips. This is the first item that we tried and my entire family loved them! They are great to snack on as is…or dip them into some organic salsa like we did. They are fabulous!
The second product we tried out was the Baked Lentil Chips in the Cucumber Dill flavor. These chips are gluten-free, good source of iron & fiber and have 70% less fat than a traditional potato chip. On the bag is a recipe for classic Hummus dip so I prepared the dip for us to eat alongside the chips. Wow…these are delicious! They have a nice cool cucumber taste but yet are nice and crunchy. This variety was hubby’s favorite!
The third product we tried out was the Oven Baked Lentil Crackers in the Sea Salt flavor. These baked crackers are gluten-free and low-fat making them an excellent choice for those watching their weight. We loved these crackers which had a wonderful taste and were crispy. We ate these by themselves one day and the next day I cut up some organic cheese and we ate them with cheese. They are delicious!
We loved all 3 of the products that we tried and would highly recommend them to you. I have never had lentil snack foods before until now and wow, I was really missing out! Thank you Mediterranean Snacks for introducing us to a new healthy snack food!
