Tips for Buying a Great Kitchen Spice Rack

July 26, 2011 by Shelly

Dry Rubs Knox Spice CoDo you enjoy cooking and baking? I know I do…although I hate the cleanup! However…I love getting into my kitchen and whipping up a delicious masterpiece meal or dessert.

When it comes to cooking and baking I find that having a beautiful and functional spice rack is a must and that is especially true if you don’t like to cook and want to get in & out of the kitchen quickly. I mean really, who wants to dig through a kitchen cabinet or drawer for an hour trying to find various spices when you can place them all into a beautiful spice rack and find them quickly? I don’t know about you…but I don’t have an hour to root around trying to find a jar of parsley or thyme.

These days you can find space-saving and modern looking spice racks in all different kind of shapes and sizes. Some can help you store your spices inside your kitchen cabinet, inside your pantry, on your counter-top or you can hang them onto your wall. Seriously, there is one for everyone!

I think spice racks make the perfect gift for a new home owner, bridal shower gift, wedding gift, holiday gift or even a birthday gift. They are a great gift for any man or woman who enjoys cooking and/or baking!

When it comes to purchasing one, you want to sit down and think about your storage needs. Will you be storing your spices in a cabinet, on the counter, in a pantry closet or on the wall? When it comes to size, you need to think about all of your current herbs & spices and make sure you buy one that’s large enough to house them all. In addition, don’t go overboard by buying a super large one and then try to fill it up! Just get the size that you think you’ll need.
