Each one is nitrogen flushed and wrapped in an aroma barrier film for maximum freshness of the product. The tea sticks are comprised of all natural ingredients and flavors, nothing artificial at all.
They are really easy to use and all you do is boil your water, place a tea stick into your tea cup and then pour the hot water into the cup and let it steep for a few minutes. Once it is done steeping you simply toss the tea stick and enjoy your drink!
My Review: The generous folks over at Serengeti Tea Company sent me 3 boxes of their Ticolino Tea Sticks to try out for all of you. Each box contains 18 tea sticks and sells for $4.95.
First up, the Ticolino Ruby Raspberry Tea. This particular tea has a strong body, medium aroma and contains no caffeine. This particular blend is made with real raspberry fruit pieces and hibiscus. I have always enjoyed fruit flavored teas so I was really excited to try this tea out after dinner the other night. I made the tea (as explained above) and sat down to have my tea while catching up on some reading. As I sipped on my tea the first thing I notices is that I didn’t need any sweetener in it because it is naturally sweet thanks to the fruit pieces and as I drank my cup of tea I really enjoyed the blend of the raspberries with the hibiscus. I would say that this tea has a “moderate” fruity taste to it…not too light and not too heavy…but really a nice medium fruity taste which is just perfect for me.
I received a box of the Ticolino Mint Medley Tea that is all natural and caffeine free. I am not a fan of anything mint so I decided to let my mother try this one out for me. This tea has a light body and a strong aroma so it was the perfect choice for her. This is a good tea for promoting healthful digestion. I made mom her cup of tea and as it steeped I could smell the “mint” and it was actually really pleasant. As my mother sipped her tea she told me that she could taste the mint and it wasn’t over-powering, a nice medium minty taste to it. She said it also has a hint of orange too. After mom was done drinking her tea she asked me if she could have the entire box so I decided to give her the entire box to take home with her. She was really happy about that!
I received a box of the Ticolino Chamomile Blend Tea that is all natural, caffeine free and made with real fruit. This tea has a mild body and light aroma to it. I have always enjoyed Chamomile Teas especially in the evening when I am unwinding from my busy day. The flowery taste of chamomile is highlighted with subtle notes of peach and lemon. For the past 2 evenings I have been enjoying a cup of this tea before I head off to bed. I really love this one!
