I love a sweet treat now and when I don’t have time to bake or prepare something myself, I will grab something at the grocery store for my family to enjoy. I hate eating foods filled with preservatives and additives, so it is nice to be able to find products that are prepared with an eye towards healthy eating. My sweet treat are all natural and gluten free cookies from Mi-Del.
Mi-Del has been preparing these delicious healthy cookies since 1947. I found these lovely bags of goodness in the health food section of my grocery store. I had a hard time deciding which flavors to try. Mi-Del offers several flavors of Gluten Free cookies and many flavors of all natural organic cookies. They know that people have allergies and all of their products are kosher and many are diary and casein free.
I decided to try a gluten free cookie with the Chocolate Chip one and the I also got the Lemon Snaps which are the all natural cookies. Being Swedish and German, I had to try the Swedish style Lemon Snaps first.
There is a really good reason they call these Snaps. They are crunchy on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. Other store bought lemon cookies usually have powdered sugar on top. Not so with these. They are a small cookie, but they pack a delicious flavor and are really, really good! I had a hard time not eating more!
The Chocolate Chip cookies are the Gluten Free style and they too had a good flavor. A bit smaller than the Lemon Snap, they had a lot of chocolate chips in them and were a very good treat. Very good if you are a milk dipper.
My favorite has to be the Lemon Snaps. I had several friends over the other night for the start of summer swim party and BBQ and they all enjoyed the cookies as well. My next trip to the store, I am getting the Ginger Snaps, I bet those are awesome too! I love Ginger Cookies!!
