I won’t fib. I love a cocktail now and then so I was thrilled to be able to review this awesome new book that just came out on how to make fabulous Mojitos and other muddled drinks. What perfect timing with the summer in full swing and many Barbeques in the works at my house! Drinks by the pool is my favorite form of relaxing.
101 MOJITOS and Other Muddled Drinks by Kim Haasarudis an amazing book full of creative liquid recipes. Ms. Haasarud is a liquid chef and founder of Liquid Architecture. She works with restaurants and TV shows alike to help the create and formulate the best drinks for their guests and visitors. What an awesome job!
So why 101 Mojitos? In the last few years, the mojito has become a staple cocktail at summertime parties and bars across the country. This simple mix of rum, fresh muddled mint leaves, and lime juice served over ice with a splash of soda is the perfect drink for cooling down on a hot, sunny day.
The book, 101 Mojitos and Other Muddled Drinks provides expert guidance on mixing the perfect mojito, as well as 100 variations and other muddled drink recipes that focus on fresh ingredients and plenty of ripe fruit. In addition to mojitos, you’ll find caipirinhas, caipiroskas, crushes, and margaritas as well. In fact, if you’ve got fresh fruit of any kind on hand, you’ll probably find more than enough delicious and refreshing ways to use it.

Doesn’t this sounds fabulous? I even found some awesome drink mixtures that don’t have alcohol in them and are perfect to cool off in this heat. How does Watermelon-Grape Crush sound? There are a few Sangria recipes that I am going to make using some awesome wine that I have.
I love this book! The format is wonderful and she has also included recipes to syrups and natural sweeteners that you can use in your drinks. She makes it all so very easy so you never have to worry about no mixing the perfect drink.
