Today we would like to talk to you about a very important issue that some of you may be facing yourself or perhaps your senior-age parents or grand parents are facing…either way, this is an important topic for those of you who are on medicare or know someone who is. Medicare is the number one way that seniors get their healthcare coverage after retirement.
My mother is a senior and happens to have medicare. She has chronic health problems like osteoporsis, cystitis, melanoma, GI upset, back and hip pain…and more. With that said…Medicare doesn’t cover a lot of things and some of the things that they do cover, they don’t cover in full. As a senior citizen you can go into debt quickly if you don’t have yourself adequately covered with insurance. When looking at Medicare Supplement Insurance look for plans that have lower co-pays, lower deductibles, less restrictions, and so forth. Each plan varies greatly, so do your research before signing on the dotted line.
There are companies and agencies that can help you look at all of the Medicare Supplement Insurance programs that are out there. There are many and they all offer something a little bit different. Plans vary from company to company and from state to state. Make sure you read the entire plan…including all of the fine print. If you don’t understand something…get it explained to you!!!
