My Review: Michelle sent me 3 of The Gourmet Cupboard’s mixes to try out for all of you. The first mix we tried out was the Dreamsicle Pie which sells for $4.00. This dessert pie reminds me of an old fashioned creamsicle popsicle but even better! To the packaged mix we added 2 blocks of cream cheese, a tub of Cool Whip and a graham cracker crumb crust. It took me about 5 minutes to prepare and another hour in the refrigerator and it was ready for us to eat. This pie didn’t last long here in our house…matter of fact, it was entirely gone in less than 24 hours! It was delicious!
The second item we tried out was the Instant Peach Tea mix and all you add is your water. This tea can be enjoyed hot or cold. Since we love flavored ice teas, we made ours using cold water and added a few ice cubes. This iced tea mix is fabulous! It tastes like your normal sweet tea but…has the delicious taste of the peach added in. It was not overly peachy…but the perfect blend! Both my hubby and I have been enjoying this Peach Tea all week long! The Peach Tea mix sells for $4.50 per bag.
The third item we tried out was the Mexican Fiesta Dip which sells for $4.00 per bag. This one bag will make 12 (8 ounce) dip servings so that is a fabulous price! You can mix it with sour cream or cream cheese, however, we like our dip mixes mixed with sour cream so that is what we used. I was expecting this dip to be spicy…I was pleasantly surprised that it is a MILD spicy dip which is a good thing since I don’t like spicy hot. We served our dip to a few friends who were visiting us with a bag of Tostitos and let me tell you…the entire container of dip was GONE before the evening was over. Then on Saturday I whipped up another batch and took that bowl of dip to a birthday party I attended and again…the dip was gone before we left the party. As you can see, everyone loved it! We enjoyed all 3 of the products we tried from The Gourmet Cupboard and give them a big 2 thumbs up!!!
