Our Review: We received a copy of this Brand New Barney DVD a few days ago so I was really excited to have the wee one up for a play date with Nanny and Pappy. We got some cookies and milk out and we sat down to watch the new Barney DVD with her. I knew that wee one would love the DVD as she loves to watch him on PBS when his show is on. What I loved about this DVD (from a grandparent/parent perspective) is that it does show kids how fun it is to learn how to brush your teeth, ride a tricycle, how to tie your shoes, how to clean your room, etc. While Barney is “teaching” your preschooler all about these things you will find a lot of singing and dancing going on which makes it a really fun video to watch. As the video played the wee one would hop off her rocking chair and get up and dance during different times throughout the video. We have been working with her on brushing her teeth (she is 23 months old) and I must say…it has become easier the past few days thanks to this DVD. (now…if I could only find a Barney toothbrush in the store I would be all set LOL). The graphics are fabulous and the music is catchy and fun to sing along to. This is definitely a great DVD to add to your preschooler’s video library and we are really enjoying it! We give it a big two thumbs up!
