My Review: My hubby and I enjoy making a lot of homemade fruit juices and homemade fruit smoothies so we decided to try out our new 6″ Ceramic Chef Knife on cutting down some thick fleshy grapefruits so that we could have some fresh grapefruit juice with our morning breakfast. The first thing I noticed about using this knife is how lightweight it is and how easy it is to control. I don’t like thick heavy knives as I find them hard to use on cutting fruits but this ceramic knife cut through all 7 of our large pink grapefruits with ease. I love that the blade is white as it made it very easy to see as I was cutting fruit or vegetables. Sometimes I find black blades get lost in what I am cutting but with this white blade…that was never a problem.
I used the knife again a few days later to cut up and chop up some fresh vegetables for a homemade veggie soup I was making and was pleasantly surprised at how well and how easily the knife went through every vegetable I tried it on…especially the celery and my onions. I was also surprised that nothing sticks to the ceramic and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that feature! Clean up is a snap because you simply hand wash your ceramic knife with a damp cloth. I choose to store mine in the presentation storage box that it arrived in…in one of my drawers. You always want to use your ceramic knives on a wood or plastic cutting board…I use a plastic anti-microbial board here in my home and the knife worked perfectly! I am looking forward to purchasing some melons in a few months when they are in-season here in PA. and using my ceramic chef knife to slice some watermelon.
My Overall Impression: My hubby and I are both super impressed with this ceramic chef knife! It is easy to use, easy to clean and cut everything with ease!
