Our Review: We received the Hatley Brand New Pink Elmo Loves You Kid’s Summer Pajama set for our product review. This 2 piece set is available in a size 2T, 3T and 4T and retails for $29.99 USD. The set features a crew neckline short sleeve pajama top with an embroidered applique Elmo design on the front with light pink ribbed trim around the neckline and short sleeves. It is made of 100% super soft not flame retardant fabric. At the neckline it is tagless (imprinted tag) but at the bottom of the side seam of the shirt is a fabrication tag. When you wear nightwear on your kids it is important that it is snug fitting and this shirt is snug…no doubt about that!
The elastic waist pull-on shorts are done in a coordinating Elmo all over print and are just as soft as the top. Once we got the set we laundered it so that the wee one could wear it the following night. The wee one is still in bulky diapers (she is 22 months old and we got the size 2T for the review) and I was worried that the bottoms would be too tight with a diaper on and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they fit perfectly…matter of fact, I love the “rise” on these pajama shorts which accommodate a diaper nicely! I love that the top is indeed snug on her (as it is supposed to be) so I am going to say that the set is a true size 2T and you never want to size up in pajamas for your kids. The top is really easy to get on and off of her and she is really comfortable wearing this set whether it be for play or bedtime.
We love that the Elmo design is not printed on the front of the shirt but rather a fabric applique that is then stitched on and it is just too cute and we all know how much kids love Sesame Street and when she wears this pj set the wee one likes to watch the show and says “mo” every time she wants to put it on. The set washes and dries like a dream and after several washings now it has not faded or fuzzed up…still looks perfect. In addition, I appreciate that the fabrication is super soft and is of a medium-weight as night time here in PA can get rather cold even in the summer months. They are not made from a thin stiff cotton but a super soft cotton that is medium-weight…you can’t see underclothing under the set if you choose to wear underclothing under it. We have had the set for about 2 weeks now and it has quickly became one of the wee ones favorite pajama sets. You need to check out all of the wonderful kid’s pajama designs that Hatley has to offer…love the selection!
