Felt Food Play Sets for Kids

April 19, 2011 by Classystaff

Lilly Bean Market Felt FoodAs a mother and now a grandmother I am always on the hunt for quality play toys for my little grand daughter who is 22 months of age. Sure…I buy her dolls, dvds and cutesie toys and trendy items but what I really look for is quality play items that instill good creativity play time when she sits down to play. This next company I am going to tell you about today called Lilly Bean Market is one of those companies that makes and sells high quality playthings that will keep your little budding cook or chef busy for hours upon hours!

If you are a crafter…you can purchase their affordable ebooks and felting supplies and make your own felt foods. If you don’t have the time or what to purchase the items as a gift…you can purchase the felt foods fully completed too!

Felt Play Food for Kids

The Review:
For our review we received 3 completed felt food sets to review for all of you. My little grand daughter already enjoys fun & imaginative play with felt foods so we were really excited about reviewing these for all of you.

We received the Four Fuzzy Fruits Set, Perfectly Fuzzy Pancake Breakfast and the Super Fuzzy Sandwich Lunch Set for the review. First of all, I love how each set is packaged in a netted produce bag just like what you find at the supermarket. Each set came beautifully packaged and Gia had a hard time deciding on which set to open first but finally selected the Pancake Breakfast. This set comes with 2 super soft pancakes grilled to perfection, a fried dippy egg, two over-sized slices of fried bacon and a cute fluffy soft strawberry. The wee one spent 35 minutes making nanny breakfast and had a blast serving me my food. Even though I was still ‘full’ from breakfast, the wee one didn’t want to wait for lunch so I got pappy in on the lunch action too.

The Sandwich lunch set comes with 2 slices of bread, bologna, cheese, lettuce, tomato and for my veggie side dish a fluffy felt carrot and for dessert….a chocolate sandwich cookie. The final set we reviewed was the 4 piece super soft & cuddly fruit set which consists of a banana, pear, apple and an orange.

All of these felt food pieces are impeccably sewn and constructed. I love the size of them which is perfect for little pretend dishes and perfect for little hands to hold. I love that nothing on these felt foods is hard, stiff or could hurt your little one at all.

Overall Impression:
These felt food playfood toys are just way too cute! They make the perfect Easter Basket Filler, Birthday Gift, Christmas Gift or any gift for the budding chef, hostess or cook in your life. I love that they inspire creative and imaginative play and are super affordable.

If you are crafty….purchase their ebooks and supplies and make them yourself but at these wonderful affordable prices….you can certainly afford to stock up your little girl’s kitchen with fun and cute felt play foods like these! We give them 10 out of 10 stars!
