Ageless with Kathy Smith: Staying Strong DVD & Kristi Yamaguchi: Power Workout DVD
I hate to admit it, but the older I get, the harder it is to stay in shape, even if my shape is round. I have been looking for DVD’s that I can easily work out to in my own home. Since I work on the computer all day long, I know I had to find something to help me get moving more. I was lucky to find 2 great workout DVD’s by fitness experts Kathy Smith and Kristi Yamaguchi.
This is fitness icon Kathy Smith’s first Ageless workout as well as the first workout from beloved Olympic gold medalist Kristi Yamaguchi. Kristi and Kathy are both busy moms of two daughters and know the difficulties of finding time to stay fit, so they have come up with highly-effective workouts to fit anyone’s busy schedule. Kristi remains one of the top ten most beloved athletes and the highest ranked female athlete according to a 2010 study. Kristi Yamaguchi: Power Workout features three fast and effective circuit workouts led by celebrity trainer Erin O’Brien.
Turning 60 (no way!) this year and still as vivacious as ever, Kathy Smith launches a new age-fighting workout line, Ageless with Kathy Smith: Staying Strong, which offers a unique strength training program to combat the aging process. A leading force in the wellness industry since 1980, Kathy has aged in front of her millions of followers worldwide, offering a real-life example of the benefits of living an active life. Kathy recently became spokesperson for the ICAA (International Council on Active Aging) and leads their mission to promote healthy, active living for adults ages 50-plus. The Review
I was really excited to try out these workout DVD’s. I have done some Kathy Smith workouts before and was thrilled to check out her new DVD. Being a bit too sedentary lately, I knew that this would be a great way to get my body going slowly. This DVD works on strength training of your arms, legs, glutes and core. It is set up in 15 minute segments so you can do one or all of the segments depending on how you feel. There is also a 12 minute stretching segment included as well. The DVD runs about 60 min or so.
Kristi’s DVD power Workout includes Erin O’Brien, the fitness trainer and host of many of her own DVD’s. Together they have a workout that will help to blast fat and work one sculpting a lean body. This targets cardio and strength training moves that focus on the main muscle groups. This runs about 53 minutes.
Both of these DVDs were great as they work on different things. I would do Kathy’s first and then when I was feeling energized, I would do some of Kristi’s Workout. I have a long way to go, but these DVD’s will help me get moving again, without overdoing it. Both of these DVD’s are being released May 3rd, but you can get them now on the distributors website.
