As a self proclaimed stationery junkie, I am excited to bring you some lovely products today just in time for Mother’s Day. Having cool products to journal in or write on is inspiring to me. I love pens and notebooks especially. I think I passed the gene on as well since my son is very particular on this pens and paper too. I always have an over abundance of office supplies on hand.
Carolina Pad is a large manufacturer of school and office supplies. They started way back in 1945 and have been the leader in the revolution of fun, funky school and office supplies in our otherwise dreary office. So yay to them! In fact, they have brand new collection’s online right now for 2011 and they are awesome.
The Review
In honor of Mother’s Day, we were sent a lovely selection of notebooks and fun goodies to share with you today. My mom loved to hand write letters and notecards and she had beautiful handwriting. I also love to write and encouraged my son to write letters even as a little boy. He would write to his grandparents as they all lived in other states from us. I have a handwritten story he wrote to my parents about fishing in their lake at their house that I kept and framed. It is so darling!
a. 13 pocket coupons expandable– this item is wonderful for a couponer or home organizer. I love index cards and I am using it to store my client notes in. Perfect size and I love it!
b. Desk Pad– the perfect pad to keep on hand while blogging or jotting down a list of things to do or buy while working at the computer.
c. Ideal Book– This is is perfect for journaling, keeping track of special moments or dates. I am using it to write articles in while watching TV or vegging by the pool. It has great pockets in it too
d. Mini Clutch– This is great to use this to store my makeup in my purse. Cute
e. Personal Book– a great notebook for list making or keeping by the phone. Love the size. Perfect to throw in a tote and take it with for article ideas and brainstorming. Also a side pocket inside the cover.

For the past few weeks I have been reviewing a wonderful new cookbook called BITE ME by sisters Julie Albert and Lisa Gnat and today I get to share some information with all of you about the cookbook which is a nice thick soft-cover 272 page book. ISBN: 978-1-906868-44-4 and the cover price is $24.95.

My Thoughts on the Book: The book is broken down into 10 chapters: Grab Me Appetizers, Spoon Me Soups, unDress Me Salads, Respect Me Vegetables, Crave Me Pasta & Rice, Gobble Me Poultry, Catch Me Fish, Meet Me Meat, Join Me Brunch and Fork Me Dessert. Just reading those make me giggle! When I read through the book I found myself laughing every couple of pages as these two sisters are funny and crack you up…nice to see humor displayed in a cookbook! I love that these recipes use easy to find ingredients and the directions on how to prepare the recipe are in easy…so even the beginner cook can prepare them. The color photographs in the book of the food dishes are nice and large and I love seeing food photos as it gives you ideas on how you can present the item you made. Everything about this cookbook is top notch and it would make a great addition to your cookbook collection. Matter of fact, it has quickly become one of my favorite cookbooks! You will find everything in this book from appetizers, main dish, side dish and desserts along with things in between! Just looking at their photos will make you hungry so I highly recommend this cookbook to you! The cookbook is available for purchase on Amazon and through Barnes & Noble.
