Latherati Soap Foundry

March 8, 2011 by Classystaff

Latherati Soap FoundryToday I would like to introduce you to the company called Latherati Soap Foundry who makes bath and body products that have been inspired by books. You will find luxurious handmade, cold process soap, artisan perfumes, moisturizing body lotions, lip balms, dry oil body sprays and more. Are you a writer? If so, author promos are unique to Latherati and they love working with writers to make the perfect scent blend for their next book release.

My Review: I received several products from Latherati for my product review. First up is the Latherati Milquetoast Handmade Soap inspired by the book titled Mansfield Park by Jane Austen. I love handmade cold processed soaps and this soap is just fantastic! It has a nice light floral scent to it and lathers up nicely in both the shower & bath and leaves your skin clean & soft. I received a bottle of the “Fanciful” body lotion which was inspired by the book titled Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen. The lotion is rich, thick and creamy with a soft floral scent to it. It applies nicely to the skin and your skin feels soft and silky after using it. I love that the lotion comes in a pump bottle. Next is the “Avarice” roll-on perfume which is very floral scented. I am not fond of roll-on floral scented perfumes so I gave this item to my sister to use. She likes it a lot but did caution me that you really only need a tiny dab as it is pretty strongly scented. My 25 year old daughter took off with the sample of solid perfume and the 2 travel size bars of soaps. The next day I asked her what she thought of those 3 samples and she said she likes them because she loves floral scents and these were the type of scents she likes. The final product that I got to review was my favorite one out of the bunch and it is the “Ethereal” Lip Glossary which is a flavored lip balm in the vanilla orange flavor. It tastes like an orange creamsicle popsicle and goes on very smoothly on your lips. It tastes so good you want to eat it! It’s a really nice lip balm for those of us who don’t like waxy sticky lip balms.

Overall Impression: These bath and body products from Latherati are very unique…matter of fact, I have never seen any like these “scents” in the marketplace. My order arrived quickly to my home and was beautifully packaged. If you know some who enjoys unique bath & body products and someone who is a book lover, these products would make a fabulous gift for them or even a gift for yourself. Head on over to the Latherati web site and take a look around, they have a lot of unique products in some very unusual scents!
