Earth-Friendly Shopping Tote Bags

March 4, 2011 by Classystaff

Earth Friendly Shopping Tote BagsEver wonder just how bad society’s over-consumption problem is – or what you can do to help reverse the trend? Start with making one change. Getting rid of the plastic grocery bags from your life. I am so excited to tell you about a fantastic site that gives you fabulous options to using plastics in your life. reuseit has been dedicated to ridding the earth of plastic throwaways since 2003 when the founder started reusable bags. Winner of many awards and a forefather of the movement to rid our earth of use and toss items, their insight and selection of products to help you and your family live healthy and save the earth is awesome!

I was thrilled when I saw their selection of fabulous products like the Market Baskets. Oh my gosh, these are fabulous! I am also loving all of the totes, lunch bags and carriers, shopping bags, reusable bottles and more. reuseit has reusable options for every part of your life.

The Review – The awesome folks at reuseit were so kind to send me the EarthTote shopping bag set, which includes 4 EarthTotes, 4 organic cotton reusable produce bags and a set of two produce savers to review for you. I was soooo excited.

The EarthTotes stand up like brown grocery paper bags and are quite large. They will hold a lot of groceries, that’s for sure! They also have an outer pocket for stashing things like cards, coupons and smaller items. Love that. The produce bags are awesome because you can forgo the plastic bags at the veggie and fruit counter and just use the produce bag. The tare weight is on a tab on the bag so when your produce is weighed, you won’t be charged extra for the bag each time. Love that! Plus being made of organic cotton, you are using pure fabric instead of plastics and any way we can use less plastic is a good thing. Both the EarthTotes and the Produce bags are machine washable! This set now has a permanent home in my car so I will never be without them!

Lastly, the kit comes with some of the produce savers. These are great in increasing the shelf life of your produce 3-10 times! That is a huge savings in money spent and on waste due to spoiling. That is a large problem in my house so I am so excited to use these.

I love that the reuseit site is so packed full of tips that you can use to reduce the use of plastics, saving the earth and product usage tips as well. You can spend hours on there reading about all of the ways this site is helping reduce waste and improve people’s lives. It is definitely an informative site well worth some of your time.
