My Review: The company was generous to send me 7 full size bars of wonderful smelling soap to try out for all of you. When my package arrived, my delivery man commented on how fabulous my box smelled! (guess he was jealous). Each bar of soap comes packaged in their own box which I really like! Since there is no way I can quickly try out all 7 bars of soap myself, I enlisted my family members to help me. My mother immediately selected the Lavender soap bar to try out as she absolutely loves lavender scented bath & body products. After a few days she came back to tell me that she loves her new soap! She said it lathers nicely, cleans her skin without irritating it and she likes the soothing relaxing effects of the lavender in the soap. Since I still had more soap to try out she snagged the Eucalyptus bar to try out next. This is a natural moisturizing soap that is great for exfoliation so she wanted to try this out for her dry feet and legs. She told me a few days later that her legs and feet were 50% better moisturized after only 4 uses of this soap. She said it was great for sloughing off dead skin and she likes the refreshing scent of this soap. She told me it would make a great unisex soap.
My 25 year old daughter selected the Patchouli soap to try out for all of you because she has always enjoyed Pactchouli scented perfumes but never tried a Patchouli scented soap until now. She told me that this soap has a very exotic fruity scent to it and that she loves it! She said for some reason is smells like a big cold glass of berry flavored lemonade. She loves how well it lathers up, just glides across your wet skin and that it makes an excellent shaving soap. She wanted to know if I had another one LOL!
My next test subject is my 85 year old great aunt who has very sensitive skin…her skin is very fragile at her age so I selected the mild Monoi scented soap for her. This soap is a natural blend of coconut oil with gardenia flowers. However, we really couldn’t smell any florals in it at all so that is why I selected this one for her. As her caregiver I can tell you personally how this worked for her. She has sensitive thinning skin and a few small sores which are typical with the elderly. This soap did not irritate her skin at all! As I helped her bathe with it…it lathers nicely and if it has a scent…I would say its a fresh clean scent. She liked that there was no coloring to the soap (it’s natural color) as some of the older generation of folks have an issue with ‘dyes and colors’ so she was really pleased with this soap!
My next test subject was my hubby and he wanted to try out the Argan Oil Soap. My hubby is going to be 50 years old in a few months and he has been getting into using anti-aging products on his skin and this particular soap is an anti-aging soap but it’s also good for dry scalps and hair. He decided to use the soap on his entire body including his hair and after a few days he gave me his opinion. He likes the uni-sex smelling scent of this soap. He told me that since he has been using the soap to wash his hair that he hasn’t had to use his dandruff shampoo or his conditioner and that he really is enjoying this soap in his shower. He likes how it lathers up and how clean his hair and skin feels after using it.
I decided to use the Au Son soap myself since it is a oatmeal soap with shea butter and olive oil in it and I have been using it to wash my face twice a day for the past 5 or so days now. I love how this soap exfoliates and moisturizes my skin. It feels so good to wash your face with something clean and soothing like this soap. I will admit, it is doing a great job and I haven’t applied a nightly moisturizer for the past few nights! Since I love fruity smelling bath products I decided to use the Lemon Verbena soap for my nightly baths. I look forward to baths every night as it’s “my” time to unwind and relax from my hectic day. This is a citrus smelling soap made with olive oil and shea butter. I love how creamy this soap feels on my skin, it has a wonderful lather and is a great moisturizer. I have been using it to bathe with and for shaving and I must admit, I am super impressed with this soap! Phew, that is a lot of soap and a lot of impressions about the soap! I would like to thank my family for helping me out with this review.

Overall Impression: My entire family is super impressed with these soaps! We all had a different favorite and none of us could think of a negative thing to say about the soaps or the company. The soaps all smell good, lather up great and they leave your skin squeaky clean, moisturized and lightly scented. NONE of the soaps we tried were over-powering in their scents and NONE of them irritated any of our skin. We highly recommend that you check out the entire line of soaps and bath products at La Savonnerie! Next time around…I have my eye on those cranberry and passionfruit soaps!!!
