Today I would like to introduce you to the eco-friendly company called SnackTaxi where you can purchase reusable bags for snacks, sandwiches and even produce reusable produce bags! This company is owned by Erin Kelly-Dill and she started this company back in 2003 as a way to stem the tide of plastic ziploc bags that over-flowed her home and then ended up in a landfill. Erin knew there was a better eco-friendly way to handle this problem so she started up her own company….snackTaxi was born! SnackTaxi uses materials that are lead and phthalates free so they are safe for food use!
My Review: snackTaxi sent me 2 of their reusable bags to try out for my product review. I received a Sandwich-Sack and a Snack-Sack to use in my own home. The first thing I want to say is that I love the colors and prints of the fabrics that this company uses! My Sandwich-Sack is done in the far out floral gray pattern and I love it! It’s hip, stylish and trendy! This sack will hold your sandwich, bagel, pita sandwich or any type of finger food that you want to pack in your lunch.
I love that all of the edges of the sack are beautifully sewn (serged) which gives it strength. The front of the sack has the snackTaxi.com logo and the bag opens & shuts via a strong velcro closure. The inside is lined in a coordinating solid colored nylon type of fabric that can be wiped clean if soiled. You can wash it in your washing machine too! The reusable snackTaxi Sandwich Sacks sell for $8.95 making them a real bargain! Just think of all of that money you save by using reusable bags instead of throw-away bags. Furthermore…you are saving our beautiful planet and doing your part in keeping the mother Earth clean and pretty for future generations.
I also received the snackTaxi Snack-Sack in a lime green with teal polka dots print. It is made exactly like the first sack but on a smaller scale. It is the perfect size to hold cookies, crackers, pretzels, potato chips, candy, grapes, etc. I think it’s the perfect size for your lunch bag, purse, brief case or diaper bag to hold your snacks through out the day to keep them fresh and protected. The Snack-Sack sells for $6.95 each.
Overall Impression: I love these sacks from snackTaxi! They are extremely well made and come in fun prints…definitely a print & color to suit everyone’s style. You can get manly prints, feminine prints, pet & hobby prints and even prints for the kids! These bags are super affordable and will pay for themselves in just 2-3 weeks of use! In my honest opinion, plastic bags should be illegal because there are better alternatives out there. I highly recommend this company and their products to you!
