Kim and Scott’s Gourmet Soft Pretzels
Today I would like to introduce you to the soft pretzel making company called Kim & Scott’s who make the most fantastic handmade soft pretzels that I have ever tasted!!!
Here is some info about the company provided to me:
Since 1995, Kim and Scott Holstein, co-founders of Kim & Scott’s Gourmet Pretzels, have grown their business from the kitchen in Kim’s studio apartment to a national presence selling millions of pretzels each week via grocery store chains like Albertsons, Target, Walmart & Whole Foods. In addition, their pretzels can be found at Barnes & Noble, and via regular appearances on QVC, where they sold more than 150,000 pretzels in just 12 minutes when they debuted them. Each one of our delicious pretzels is twisted by hand and made from scratch. Kim & Scott’s Gourmet Pretzels offer an assortment of amazing pretzels, using ALL-NATURAL and PREMIUM ingredients, like freshly shredded cheeses, hearty spices, unbleached flour and whole grains.
My Review: Kim & Scott’s sent me a sample kit that contained six 2- packs of stuffed soft pretzels. I received the Grilled Cheese, Pizza, Apple Cinnamon, Chocolate Crumb, Cheddar Jalapeno and Spinach Feta flavors. I first want to say that hubby and I love soft pretzels and eat them a few times a week. We decided to try out the Grilled Cheese flavor first and let me tell you…these pretzels rocked! If you love grilled cheese sandwiches, you will LOVE these pretzels even more! The dough was soft, chewy and deliciously stuffed with cheese! The second flavor that we tried out was the Pizza flavor. This one was okay for me but not my favorite…however, out of all of the flavors we tried…this was my husbands favorite. He said this was 10 times better than a frozen made at home pizza and when he needs his pizza fix, this is a fabulous alternative.
The third flavor we tried out was the Chocolate Crumb and this was my absolute favorite! I love the soft chocolate flavored dough…not too sweet and it was just right! For dessert one night we decided to try the apple cinnamon pretzels and oh my gosh…they were delicious! I loved the apple filling in these with just the right amount of cinnamon. Soft, chewy and delicious! For lunch yesterday we decided to skip the traditional lunch and go with the spinach feta pretzels. I wasn’t sure if we would like these but we were both pleasantly surprised and enjoyed them. The only flavor we didn’t try out was the Cheddar Jalapeno because neither of use enjoy jalapeno’s but they didn’t go to waste. My 25 year old daughter and her fiance quickly ran off with them. She told me later the next day that they enjoyed them while watching a movie and that they were not hot and spicy at all but had a mild kick to them which both of them enjoyed.
Overall Impression: We love Kim & Scott’s soft pretzels! They arrived quickly to our door in a cooler packed with dry ice. Each package has reheating instructions and we made ours in our microwave since they are completely baked and just need reheated. Once they arrive to your door you just place your boxes into the freezer and remove them when you are ready to reheat them. They were super soft (not soggy like traditional store bought frozen soft pretzels) and had just the right amount of goodies stuffed in them. We enjoyed them mostly as a snack but they can also be used for a lunch in place of a sandwich. We loved them so much that we will indeed be purchasing more!
