The Review
This was a fun item to review. I was going to get a custom ceramic tile with a picture of my dear dog, Louie, on it. My work first started by selecting a great picture of Louie. Because I couldn’t decide, I sent 3 over to Annette and let her choose which one worked best. She sent back two edited pictures for me to make the final choice. Once I picked the picture I wanted, Annette got to work.
A week or so later, my package arrived and I opened up the box to find the cutest tile with Louie smiling at me. Annette had added an awesome leather backing to the tile so that this could be hung like a picture or use the easel to display it on a table. I love it! The quality of the picture is great. The tile has a glaze or clear coat of something over the picture to seal in the photo. It came out just wonderfully. I know that I will enjoy this tile picture for many years to come!
Update from Fido’s Corner on the Tile: The digital photo is fired into the tile at 400 degrees. The tile starts off glossy, the gloss does not glue or keep the photo in place, the ink is fired right into the tile so the picture is permanently part of the tile. People can use these for backsplashes in their kitchen, etc. => Very Cool!
