When you visit the website, you are greeted with some delectable looking cookies and pralines. Chez Sha’s makes cookies with nuts and without. They currently have 7 different flavors with nuts and 9 without as well as 5 flavors of Pralines. I didn’t know they made Pralines with other flavors, so I learned something new today! They all sound lovely especially these! Lemon Blueberry Surprise and Double Fudge Dream. Can anything sound better that that? The thought of that in my mouth makes me feel all giddy inside.
The Review
The great folks at Chez Sha’s sent me a dozen of their Gourmet Cookies to sample. They arrived quickly in a well packaged box and then individually packed in a lovely tin box. Each cookie is individually wrapped. I was very surprised at this! But not one cookie was broken. Hmmm Impressive.
The cookies that I received were 6 of the gourmet Chocolate Chips and 6 of the Oatmeal Cranberry Walnut cookies. Happy Dance! I love Chocolate Chip cookies! My husband had is hand in the cookie tin right along with mine and he grabbed the Oatmeal Cranberry and I grabbed the Chocolate Chip. The cookies are over sized and the Chocolate Chip one is very thick and dense. The chips are large and thick as well and they did not skimp on them at all. My first impression was that I really liked the flavor of the cookie, but it was a bit too sweet for me. That’s a shocker, I know LOL. But as I finished the cookie, it was growing on me. HAHA Must be the chocolate.
I then tried the Oatmeal Cranberry Walnut cookie. This too, is a large cookie. They certainly don’t play when it comes to the amount of cookie you are getting. I really liked this one! Very delicious and well balanced with the flavors. Very moist and delicious! Oh ya, this would be perfect with some hot coffee as a lovely dessert treat.
When the kid and his friend came home, I parted with my prize cookie tin and let them try them as well. They loved both cookies and have since devoured most of them. I did manage to sneak off with one more of each for my stash and have enjoyed each of them both since. These are really good cookies!
