There are two basic varieties of cultured pearls; freshwater and saltwater. Freshwater pearls are grown primarily in man-made lakes and reservoirs in China. Saltwater pearls, which include akoya, Tahitian and South Sea, are grown in bays, inlets and atolls in many places around the world. Saltwater pearls are considered more valuable than freshwater pearls, although rare and very high-quality, freshwater pearls can be exceedingly valuable.
I was sent a beautiful Pink Pearl Bracelet for my review just in time for Valentines Day! This bracelet is just amazing. It is has true pink pearls made of 7.5-8.0 mm sized AAA quality freshwater pearls all with very high luster. The silk knotting is firm and tight. It is finished with a 14-karat gold clasp. Appraised value came in at $500+ so the $105 retail is an amazing value!

This bracelet is just lovely. Everyone that has seen it has commented on the beauty of the pearls and the color. It is a remarkable pink that just glows as you wear them. The color is so pretty it can be easily mixed with other pearls you may have and other jewelry as well. I know that I will get a ton of use out of this luscious bracelet!
