Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Omaha Steaks who have been in business since 1917. When you hear the name Omaha Steaks I am sure you are thinking to yourself that they just sell steaks…well, they sell the best testing steaks but they also sell seafood, poultry, veal, pork, lamb, sauces, desserts and so much more! With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, Omaha Steaks is the place to shop for your main course or your dessert for that romantic dinner for two. You could order some great tasting steaks and a delicious cheesecake or go all out and purchase some lobster tails, chocolate molten lava cake and….they even sell wine! woot woot!
My Review: The great folks over at Omaha Steaks treated my husband and I to an early Valentine’s Day dinner. They sent us 2 of their warm water lobster tails and 2 of their filet mignons to celebrate our romantic evening together.
My order arrived super quick and was packed in a styrofoam cooler on ice. Once the package arrived, I put the steaks into the refrigerator and the lobster tails into the freezer. A few nights later…we decided to spend our evening cooking together and then enjoy our romantic evening for two by eating our dinner by candlelight. As hubby grilled our steaks on the grill with some fried mushrooms and onions, I got busy boiling the lobster tails in a little old bay seasoning. The steaks were done in less than 15 minutes and the lobster tails were done about the same time. We also made some buttered limas and baked potatoes to go along with our meal.
The steaks were absolutely delicious! They were moist and chewy and there was absolutely NO fat on the steaks. These steaks were 110% better than any store bought steak! The lobster tails were also moist, tender and had a wonderful taste to them. We like our lobster dipped in melted butter so that is how we ate it. Let me tell you…we totally OVER ATE! LOL We were so stuffed we could hardly move! (yes, I will admit…we had to put some into the refrigerator as we just couldn’t finish everything!).
Overall Impression: Wow…we are super impressed with the quality of the steaks and lobster tails that we received from Omaha Steaks! What you buy at your local grocery store, can not compare to the quality and taste of Omaha’s products. We are now customer’s for life! Our order arrived quickly, was well packaged and the items were store frozen…so no worries on shipping frozen foods. We give this company and these products…a HUGE and I mean a HUGE two thumbs up!!! Thank you Omaha Steaks for treating us to a very delicious romantic Valentine’s Day dinner for two!
