Monave Mineral Makeup & Natural Skincare

January 13, 2011 by Classystaff

Monave Mineral Make Up SetToday I would like to introduce you to a wonderful company that sells handcrafted Mineral Makeup and Natural Skincare products and that company is called Monave. This fabulous company sells mineral cosmetics such as eye shadow, liquid eye liner, lip colors, nail polish, loose mineral foundation and cosmetic brushes to go along with them. This company also sells wonderful natural skincare products too!

Info Provided To Me By Monave: Mineral cosmetics is what makeup should be: All of the coverage, color and finesse, without all of the chemicals, synthetics and dyes. Mineral cosmetics are loose powders that have no fillers added to them. The powders are actually crushed minerals that have been extracted from the Earth’s surface. When you use natural mineral makeup, you’ll never again have that heavy, cakey feeling that you get with traditional makeup lines. Mineral Makeup products are long-lasting, hypo-allergenic and have a natural high SPF to help with sun protection.

My Review: The generous folks over at Monave sent me several products to try out for my review. Here is what I received: 3 Mineral Powders (colors: #43M, #51, #51M), 3 Matte Shadow Liners (colors: #105, #115, #114), 1 pot of the cream to powder black eyeliner, 1 pot of the vegan moisturizer cream and 1 pot of the honey clay cleanser. Wow…I feel like a little girl in a big girls cosmetic candy store today! yeah!!!

I decided to start off with the honey clay cleanser which was heavenly, I loved how this felt on my skin…definitely a nice clean feeling. I followed that up with the moisturizer cream which absorbed in quickly and did a great job at moisturizing my face. An hour later I decided to get ready for my day and I applied the mineral powder #43M to my eyelids which is a dark mauve color with some shimmer in it. I then applied the mineral powder #51 to my eyes as the high lighter as this is a very light shade of a neutral mauve color.

What I love about these shadows is a little goes a long way and they blend so nicely. I decided to use the matte shadow/liner in color #105 which is a medium mauve color to give my upper eye some definition along the lash line and then along my lower lash line. This is a really beautiful shade and can be worn daily. The following day since I was going out…I used the same colors again but substituted the eyeliner…this time I used their cream to powder black eyeliner on both upper and lower lash lines. Wow…I now have a new favorite cream eyeliner! (yes folks…I will admit, I love cream eyeliners and have been use cream liners for several years). I love that this eyeliner stayed put all day & evening long until I was ready to wash it off. It didn’t smear, run or travel any where that I didn’t want it to.

Overall Impression: I haven’t gotten to use all of the beautiful shades that Monave sent me to try out just yet but I will tell you…out of all of the products I listed above, My top 3 favorites that I tried are: The Honey Clay Cleanser, The Black Cream to Powder Eyeliner and the #43M mineral powder which I used as an eye shadow are so far my favorites. All of the products I used were top notch, high quality, long lasting, non-skin irritating and did a wonderful job. The shades on these minerals are just perfect…nothing wild or over the top. I give this company and these products a HUGE 2 thumbs up!!!
