I have a really cool company to tell you about today and that company is called Smart Lab Toys. This fantastic company sells a variety of toys, arts and crafts broken down into three major categories. You will find products related to Arts, Science and Puzzles that any child would enjoy. I love companies that offer such creative, unique and educational type of products like Smart Lab Toys!
When you visit their web site you will find that it is really easy to navigate which is always a big plus in my book! In their Arts Department you will find kits for both males and females such as the Snap Fashion Jewelry Studio, Fashion Studio, House of Fashion Design Studio, Custom Motorcycle Design Studio and the Itty Bitty Pizzeria Kit to name just a few. When you visit their Science Department you will find items such as the The Amazing Squishy Brain, Bug Playground, All Natural Spa Lab, You Track It Weather Lab and the Remote Control Rocket. Finally, when you visit their Puzzle Department you will find various 3-D Puzzles in the Mega Sharks, Mega Dinosaurs, Wild Oceans and more! Wow…definitely something for every child at this wonderful store!
My Review: Smart Lab Toys sent me their Snap Fashion Jewelry Studio kit for me to use for my product review. This kit is for girls ages 7 and up so I invited my 9 year old niece down for a play date with her Aunt Shelly. Once she arrived, she squealed with delight when she saw me with this kit!
Kit Contains: Snap maker, 16 fabric circles, 12 jewels, ribbon, 5 bases, 2 rings, 25 snap domes plus backs, transfer sheet, connector, tracing ring, 5 ml. bottle of glue and a Look Book of inspired accessories. You can make necklaces, rings, bracelets, shoe charms, hair bands and so much more with this kit!
Once we read the directions and looked through the Look Book we got busy making some cool items! Since I am a crafter, I gave her some of my miscellaneous supplies to use with this kit such as some silk flowers, rhinestones, beads, etc. The first thing we made together was a silk flower ring. We followed the directions in the Look Book to make it which was really easy to do and took us less than 10 minutes. Stephanie was so very proud of her new creation! The second item we made was the Monogram Me necklace that is also featured in the Look Book. We made 3 disks for the necklace with her first, middle and last name initials on them. This project took us a little longer to make since it was more in depth but we did get it done in less than an hour. After our play date, Stephanie took the rest of the kit home so that she can work on more projects with her mother.
My Overall Impression: This kit is made for ages 7 and up and I think that is age appropriate but if you child is between the ages of 7 and 9, I think they will need some adult help with the kit. I love that the kit is complete…if you want to go out and buy some things to add to it, it does come with a recommended shopping list for just that purpose. We found it really easy to use thanks to the wonderful directions & photos in the Look Book. All of the included items are pretty & brightly colored which little girls just love! This was a fantastic arts & craft kit for me to sit down and do with her. I highly recommend this company & this product to you!
