Discovering the Fun of Christmas Shopping

I’ve never enjoyed Christmas shopping in the past as much as most people do, but this year, I had a really great time. It was something about the mood that was in the air, with people smiling and bustling about in winter coats, drinking hot chocolate and apple cider, and singing lots of carols. I actually found myself wanting to go again, even though I’ve already finished off my list!

My best friend and I started out early in the morning on Saturday after a big pancake breakfast. We made a big list and looked up all the sales ads online, set our home security alarm from SecurityChoice.com, and even brought blankets along for the car ride. We started out by shopping at a few of our favorite department stores. She loves to shop and I was amazed by her expert eye for scoping out the best deals. We had some kind of a coupon or discount for nearly every store! I think the only thing I bought for full price was a gift card to my parents’ favorite restaurant — and even with that, they still gave me a bonus gift card for an extra $00.

I never knew Christmas shopping could be so much fun! I’m so glad that I let my best friend drag me along. Next year, it’ll be me rushing to go.
