The Review:

The awesome folks at the SF Bath Salt Company were so kind to send me the Pink Himalayan Salts – Natural & Pure Himalayan salt is harvested from the heart of the Himalayan Mountains. Formed over the last 250 million years, it is considered the purest salt in the world – amazingly pure & virtually untouched by any pollutants & toxins. For thousands of years, the salt has been used as a main ingredient in baths, body scrubs, drinks, & foods & has been revered for its unique crystalline beauty, its medicinal properties, & unique taste.

I got a bamboo container containing 2 lbs of the fine grain Pink Himalayan Salt. I love the texture of the fine grain. It reminded me of a fine beach sand except for the soft pink color. There was no scent to mine although you can add a scent if you so desire. There really is no set amount you add to the water. A few large handfuls should do the trick. You want enough salt to mimic the natural environment of the sea. The fine grain was easy to mix and I loved the texture in the water. The Himalayan Salts are reported to contain 84 elements that naturally occur in the ocean as well as in our bodies. The benefits of using Himalayan salts are far-reaching & have been enjoyed by people around the world. As you bathe, some of the minerals can be absorbed into your body. The bath left my skin feeling awesome. I was so relaxed and enjoyed it thoughly. It had been a long time since I got a chance to soak in a bath. The natural exfoliating and soothing nature of a bath was wonderful. I know I am going to keep it on my to do list more often.

Did you know that Himalayan Salts can be used as a delectable ingredient in food too? The Sherpa Pink Himalayan Salts is a KOSHER CERTIFIED product.

There is a ton of info on the site and I hope you take some time and check out the healing, soothing, stress reducing benefits of bathing using mineral salts.
