Today I would like to introduce you to a company called Dream Big Toy Company which manufactures a line of dolls called Go! Go! Sports Girls. The founder, Jodi Norgaard has always been involved in sports and for many years coached “Girls on the Run” a program that encourages girls to make healthy lifestyle choices through running. I invite you to read more about the founder Jodi on their web site.
This company has 11 different Go! Go! Sport Gals for you to choose from. There is: Brook (golf), Cassie (soccer), Ella (running), Gracie (tennis), Maya (Gymnastics), M.C. (dance), Sam (soft ball), Suzi (swimming), Taye (basketball), Anna (soccer) and Kate (basketball). Wow…what a great selection!
My Review: Jodi was gracious enough to send me the Maya (gymnastics) Go! Go! Sports Girl for my product review. My order arrived very quickly to my home & was well packaged. I waited until my little granddaughter came up later that evening before I took her out of the packaging as I wanted to get a first hand impression of the doll from my Little Gia. You see…Gia is only 15 months old but let me tell you…she loves dragging around her own dollies already! I took Maya out of her packaging and Gia was so excited that she yanked her right out of my hands! LOL Every time I tried to “sneak her away” Gia got highly upset with me! For the entire 2 hours that Gia was here that night, she wouldn’t let Nanny play with her new doll.
My Overall Impression: Here is why I love this doll and I think if you are a mom or grandmother of a little one, you will appreciate all of this. The doll has embroidered facial features so you don’t have to worry about anything coming off of her or anything breaking. The girls are well made and will withhold years upon years of playing time with their favorite little girl. I love that they are super soft cloth dolls so your little one can cuddle up and snuggle with them in bed…no hard parts on them at all! They are the perfect size to travel with in the car or for overnight trips to grandma’s house. They are not recommended for children under the age of 3…but I do let Gia play with hers while I am sitting there and keeping a close eye on her. I love the whole idea behind these sports girls and I feel it sends a good positive message to girls. I give this company and their products a big 2 thumbs up!
