Saltwater pearls are considered more valuable than freshwater pearls, although rare and very high-quality freshwater pearls can be exceedingly valuable.

I was blessed to receive the most gorgous pair of Black Freshwater Pearl Earrings. These beautful matching 7.5-8.0 mm pearls came mounted on gold posts and packaged in a lovely leather box for giving. I was very impressed as it also came with a certificate of appraisal on the quality of the pearls.
