Today I would like to introduce you to the company called the Eley Corporation who are the fine makers of the hot-selling Rapid Reel Hose Reels.  In addition to selling garden hose reels, they also sell garden hoses, accessories and replacement parts.

For the past few months I have been blogging about all of the home improvement projects that we have been making to a home that we purchased 2 years ago. The home is 65 years old and the previous owners did very little to update it over the years, so it needs a lot of work!

The Wall Mount Garden Hose Reel comes with a 10 year warranty so you know it’s a quality-made product! The 10-year warranty is a no-leak, no-rust, no-break factory warranty. It is one model but comes in 2 different configurations which is really cool.

It is made from ultra-durable alloy aluminum and mounts quickly and easily to any wall you want to mount it on. It comes with screws and concrete lags for mounting.  Hubby chose to mount it on the backside of our house. From start to finish, it took hubby only 30 minutes to assemble it and to mount it onto our house.

The Garden Hose Reel will hold 150 feet of 5/8″ hose and if you need it to hold more, you can purchase their extra-capacity kit. The garden hose reel does come with a 5 ft. supply hose that hooks up to your outdoor faucet and runs to the garden hose reel.

Everything that came in this Wall Mount Garden Hose Reel Kit was heavy-duty and you could immediately tell that this was a quality piece that will last for many, many years!

My husband is absolutely in love with his new toy! He has been using it almost daily for when he waters the yard, waters the garden, sprays down our aluminum siding, sprays down our patio deck, etc. He could not be happier with his new garden hose reel and rates it 10 stars out of 10 stars! With our “Fun in the Summer Sun” blog event getting into full swing, our next company makes the perfect addition to our summer buying guide. Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Michele’s Handcrafted Birdhouses where you will find the prettiest handcrafted birdhouses that I have ever seen! All of Michele’s birdhouses are handmade by her here in the good old U.S.A. and I absolutely love to support American Artisans like Michele!

All of her birdhouses are made from cedar material to accommodate a variety of cavity nesting birds. They have lifting clean-out doors that are embellished by classic knobs or a piece of genuine driftwood which is used as the handle. The bottom floor of the birdhouse has drainage holes to keep the bird nests dry should any rain water get into the birdhouse. There are ventilation ducts that are just under the roof eaves.  

My Review: I was really excited to be reviewing a handcrafted birdhouse made by Michele as I have always loved birds and been birdwatching for the past few years. We have a variety of birds here in our backyard like blue jays, cardinals, Downy woodpeckers, robins, house finches, sparrows and wrens. I just love watching them feed at our bird feeders and I used to have a birdhouse until Hurricane Irene swiped it last year.

Michele sent me the Rustic Birdhouse with Country Charm  to review for all of you. I love that it is very rustic looking which fits in perfectly with our garden and landscaping decor. The birdhouse is quite large and very sturdy, hubby said extremely well-built! We decided to hang up our new birdhouse directly onto one of our rustic fences that surrounds our one patio/deck area. It only took hubby about 1 minute to get it hung up and I think it looks beautiful hanging onto our rustic wooden fence.

I love that with this birdhouse that I can easily clean it out once the birds are done nesting in it thanks to the way this birdhouse artist built it. I also appreciate that there are venting holes for ventilation and there are draining holes in the bottom.

Michele added several pieces of driftwood onto the exterior of the birdhouse which is perfect for decoration but it also serves as perching opportunities for the birds. Besides that, I have various other pieces of driftwood around my yard due to my coastal theme’d landscaping. The picture above and to the right shows the side view of this beautiful birdhouse so you can really see the depth of the piece.

Michele did a beautiful job making this birdhouse and I am super proud to now own a birdhouse from Michele’s Rustic Birdhouses & Home Accents! This is one quality-made handcrafted birdhouse that you would love to have for your own backyard or purchase a few and give them as gifts!

I have been watching my new birdhouse like crazy the past several days and I am just waiting for a bird to find my new birdhouse and to call it home! We have had some really terrible rainy weather here on the east coast for the past week, hopefully when we dry up, I will have a tenant in my new beautiful birdhouse!

When I catch my new tenant setting up house in my new birdhouse, I will try to get some photos and make a new blog post here on our blog to share the excitement with all of you!

As part of our month long Summer Sun & Fun Event the company sent me their Solar Illuminating Plant Caddy to review for all of you. I was really excited to be reviewing this product because last fall when Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee went through our area, I suffered a lot of damage to our backyard and garden areas.

The Solar Illuminating Plant Caddy measures 24″ by 24″ by 7″ high so it can hold a pretty large plant. Since it is solar powered, it charges by day and illuminates at night. I love that it automatically turns itself on when it’s dark, and it turns itself off when it’s daylight. I can simply just forget about it!

The plant caddy features lockable wheel casters so it won’t roll all around. It stays put once you lock the wheels. The 3 LED lamps are adjustable so you can tilt them to any angle that you desire. The heavy duty caddy will hold up to 100 lbs. (or up to 200 lbs. if you use a pot with a sauce to help distribute the weight). I weighed my potted snake plant and mine weighs a hefty 28 1/2 lbs. No tools are required for the assembly and it only took my hubby about 3 minutes to assemble it. Really quick and easy…anyone can do it!

We have been using this beautiful Solar Illuminating Plant Caddy for over a month now and let me tell you, all of my neighbors are jealous! Every night when the sun goes down, it lights up and it stays lit for hours at a time! I have clocked it as being lit for up to 7 hours already! The LED lights are bright, but not overly bright, I would say a nice illuminating glow.

I am going to get a nicer plant for my caddy once my local home and garden store gets some nice tropical plants in-stock. I love this plant caddy as I can wheel it all around my patio deck to get sunlight or for when I want to water it. This is a fantastic product and I highly recommend it to you!
