Our Thoughts: We sat down to watch this movie with my nieces and nephews. It’s rare that I get a movie in that will hold the interest of tweens, teenagers and young adults. This movie is definitely one that you can sit down and watch together on family movie night. The little ones (toddlers and preschoolers) would get bored with this type of movie, so I recommend it to older children and adults.

The story line is well-written and entertaining. Its different than most movies in this genre, fresh and new. The actors do a really good job at portraying their parts and they draw you into the story. Pistachio (the horse) is adorable and you really feel the bond between Pistachio and Lily. Personally, I was really excited to see a “horse” being feature in a movie instead of a dog. Don’t get me wrong, I like dogs…but way too many movies feature them.

Overall we are giving this movie 7 popcorn buckets out of 10 popcorn buckets on our movie rating scale. A great flick for your family movie night!
